Working in Partnership & as a Community Anchor Organisation

Hambleton Community Action is a collaborative organisation, working closely with other charities, statutory services and organisations of all sizes that operate in the area. Hambleton Community Action is also the Community Anchor Organisation (CAO) for Northallerton.

We are active in many local, regional and county-wide networks, partnerships and strategic steering groups.  

Our partnerships include:

  • Love Northallerton (Northallerton Business Improvement District) through our Town Ambassador volunteers welcoming visitors to Northallerton
  • Hambleton & Richmondshire Local Care Partnership, leading on its Health Inequalities project 
  • Collaborative work for Staying Healthy Independent and Connected (SHIC)
  • Hambleton & Richmondshire Mental Health Forum 
  • Hambleton & Richmondshire Rural Transport & Access Partnership (RTAP)
  • Community Safety Partnerships
  • Northallerton and Villages Community Forum
  • Bedale & Villages Community Forum
  • Payroll services and admin support offered to other small charities and local groups
  • Supported Volunteering in North Yorkshire  NY Supported Volunteering 

We are aalso part of a network of local community place-based organisations appointed by North Yorkshire Council to support community resilience.  

As a Community Anchor Organisation for the Northallerton area, we offer support, plus a host of activities and information.  We play a role in connecting  organisations, people, services, and the needs of the community and we support communities to become more resilient and able to respond to local challenges.

We are at hand to help in the event of a local emergency situation and would be part of the local community response and recovery arrangements.
