Volunteering

At Hambleton Community Action we are proud to support our community, the residents, local groups and organisations.

Most of what we offer is delivered by our volunteers, supported by the staff team. We do this through the services we provide and the volunteering opportunities available.

Whatever the reasons, no matter what time you have, come and talk to us.

Who can volunteer

Who can volunteer

No previous experience of volunteering is needed, training is available for all opportunities, as well as buddies and mentors who are there to share their own volunteering experiences and support you as you get involved.

Not only do we have volunteering roles that support the work we do, but we have projects that focus on supported volunteering which are for those that wish to volunteer but face challenges or barriers making it harder to take part.

Benefits of volunteering

Volunteering has a wide range of benefits and can contribute to an individual’s overall health and well-being, with improved physical and mental health, increased levels of confidence and self-esteem being amongst the most recognisable benefits. It is also a wonderful way to meet new people, make friends, connect with others and most importantly it’s fun...
