HCA receives a generous donation from YBS

We’re delighted that Hambleton Community Action has recently received a £2,000 donation from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation, thanks to a nomination from colleagues at the Northallerton branch of the Yorkshire Building Society.

The generous funding from YBS will help us refill the shelves of our social supermarket, 'Pantry and Produce', based at our community venue at 159/160 High Street, Northallerton.

Pantry and Produce is a membership-based social supermarket where, for just £10 per year, members can choose the items they need at greatly reduced prices. Members can shop twice a week, between 11am-1pm, Monday - Friday spending between £3 per visit (up to £10 per week). We also redistribute foods received through Fareshare and from local supermarkets that are close to their best-before date, helping to reduce food waste while supporting local households.

 Thank you again to the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation for helping us continue supporting local people in Northallerton and the surrounding area.
